Product Description
This Anderson Metals half union compression tube fitting is made of brass, has a flared tube connection and a male NPT connection, and is suitable for use with fuel and gas systems. It is made of brass for corrosion resistance, ductility at high temperatures, and low magnetic permeability. This fitting can be used with copper, brass, aluminum, or steel tubing to connect and disconnect two tubes more easily than with a coupling. It has a flared tube connection on one end and a male National Pipe Taper (NPT) connection on the other for connecting to a female NPT threaded tube, creating a tighter seal than straight threads. This fitting is part of an assembly that resists mechanical pullout for a more secure connection, and can be assembled and reassembled without affecting the seal.
